Pastoral support

A calm, practical space to think things through.

School can bring pressure well beyond the syllabus. QBT offers one-to-one educational pastoral conversations designed to help a young person organise challenges, develop useful mental models and move forward with greater clarity.

Christos Christodoulides

A calm space for practical thought.

Scope note

Important: this is educational pastoral support, not counselling, psychotherapy, diagnosis, medical treatment or an emergency service. Where clinical or urgent support is needed, families should contact an appropriate qualified professional or emergency service.

What the conversation can support

Structure for the pressures around learning.

The emphasis is practical and Student-centred: understanding the challenge, identifying useful next steps and strengthening the Student’s own ability to respond.

Academic pressure

Explore routines, workload and exam pressure with a clearer sense of what is controllable now.

Motivation and direction

Turn a broad sense of being stuck into smaller decisions, habits and next actions.

A constructive conversation

Create space to articulate concerns and build practical ways of communicating them.

Led by Christos

Experience of the academic and human side of school.

“Learning is affected by confidence, relationships, pressure and the way a Student understands their own choices.”

Christos has worked with Students as a Tutor and within independent-school education. He makes time for pastoral conversations because learning is affected by confidence, relationships, pressure and the way a Student understands their own choices.

For an under-18 Student, a Parent or Guardian should make the initial enquiry. QBT will confirm the scope, practical boundaries and safeguarding arrangements before any Session.

Pastoral enquiry

Begin with a brief, non-sensitive outline.

A Parent, Guardian or Adult Student can describe the broad area of support. Please do not include detailed medical or safeguarding information in the general enquiry box.

A thoughtful first conversation. No booking commitment.
