1. About this Notice
This Cookie Notice explains how Quantum Brain Tutoring Ltd, referred to as QBT, uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on its public tutoring website and protected enquiry-review area.
A cookie is a small item of information stored on a device. Similar technologies include local storage, scripts and tags that store or access device information. The rules depend on what a technology does, not simply what it is called.1
For information about QBT’s broader use of personal information, please read the Tutoring Privacy Notice on this website.
2. Your choices
Technologies that are strictly necessary for security, authentication, accessibility, network delivery or a function you request may operate without an optional switch where the relevant legal exception applies. QBT still explains those technologies below.
Optional analytics does not load unless you choose Accept analytics through the website’s cookie controls. Choosing Reject optional does not prevent you from reading the website or sending an enquiry.
You can select Cookie settings in the footer at any time to review or change your choice. The preference is renewed periodically so that it remains informed and current.
3. Technologies used on this Manus site
| Technology or provider | Purpose | Category | Duration and control |
|---|---|---|---|
qbt_cookie_preferences_v1 — QBT local storage | Remembers whether optional analytics was accepted or rejected | Essential preference storage because it records and honours the visitor’s choice | Stored for up to 180 days, or until the visitor changes the choice, clears browser storage or uses a private browsing session |
| Manus platform security and network technologies | Delivers the website securely, routes requests and protects the service | Strictly necessary where used only for security and requested network delivery | Provider-controlled session or security period; not controlled by the optional analytics switch |
| Manus authentication session technology | Keeps an authorised QBT user signed in to the protected enquiry-review area | Strictly necessary authentication and used only when an authorised user signs in | Session or provider-defined authentication period; a user can sign out to end the active session |
| Manus-provided Umami analytics script | Measures visits and page use so QBT can understand and improve the tutoring website | Optional analytics | Does not load until the visitor accepts analytics; disabled after the visitor withdraws that choice |
QBT does not authorise advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, behavioural advertising, social-media tracking or advertising measurement on this tutoring site.
4. Analytics
If you accept analytics, the website loads the Manus-provided Umami analytics service using QBT’s configured analytics endpoint and website identifier. QBT uses the resulting measurements to understand broad site use and improve navigation and content.
QBT treats this analytics service conservatively as optional and obtains consent before loading it. Rejecting or later withdrawing analytics does not affect the secure enquiry form or access to public information.
5. Third parties and external links
The website is hosted and delivered through the Manus platform. Its public pages also contain clearly labelled links to separate QBT services and third-party sites, including QBT Revision, QBT Learning Resources, QBT for Schools and Bark. Those external sites set their own technologies only after you choose to visit them and have their own privacy or cookie information.
QBT does not embed those separate services into this tutoring site. It keeps them as external links so that their data use and choices remain distinct.
6. Browser and device controls
Most browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking necessary security or authentication technologies may prevent a requested feature from working. Browser controls do not replace the QBT preference panel for optional analytics, so QBT provides both.
7. Children
Children may visit QBT’s site. QBT uses high-privacy defaults, does not authorise behavioural advertising to children and does not load optional analytics before a positive choice is made. The Student Privacy Summary explains QBT’s tutoring data practices in shorter language.
8. Changes
QBT will re-audit the site and update this Notice when it adds or changes a technology, provider, purpose, duration or international data flow. QBT will seek a fresh choice where an existing choice does not cover a materially different optional purpose.
9. Contact and complaints
Please contact QBT’s Privacy Lead at quantumbraintutoring@gmail.com or write to Quantum Brain Tutoring Ltd, Knoll House, Knoll Road, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 3SY.
You may make a data-protection complaint to QBT using any reasonable contact channel. QBT will acknowledge it within 30 days, investigate it, keep you informed without undue delay and communicate the outcome without undue delay. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/data-protection-complaints/.
